Appetite for Destruction

Appetite for Destruction is the first album by the American metal band Guns 'N' Roses. It was released in 1987 on Geffen Records. It is considered to be one of the greatest hard rock albums of the 80's and is currently the highest selling debut album in the world, trumping Boston's Boston, and is the Highest-selling album in the United States. The notable singles are "Welcome to the Jungle," "Sweet Child O' Mine," "Paradise City," "Nightrain," and "Mr. Brownstone." This is also the only album Axl Rose sang for before drugs affected the vibration of his voice.


Appetite for Destruction appears everywhere in magazines' top albums of all-time lists. The album debuted on the Billboard 200 in August 1987 at number 182, and topped the charts in August 1988.
